Sensitive Personal Data

Personal information which falls into certain categories is called sensitive personal data. This includes information such as: racial or ethnic origin; religious or other beliefs.

Special rules apply to the processing of sensitive personal data under the Data Protection Act.

Financial information does not come within the definition of "sensitive personal data" under the Act.
